Human Thought Challenges To Consider

  • Chronic Worry and Anxiety: An ongoing, excessive feeling of dread or tension regarding everyday situations (often categorized as Generalized Anxiety Disorder).

  • Obsessive Thinking: Intrusive, repetitive thoughts or mental loops that the person finds difficult to control or quiet.

  • Emotional Hyper-reactivity: Experiencing intense mood swings, irritability, or crying spells triggered by relatively minor stressors

  • Perfectionism and Self-Criticism: A harsh internal critic driving an unrealistic standard of flawlessness, accompanied by severe self-blame upon failure.

  • Existential Dread: Deep, persistent feelings of meaninglessness, emptiness, or isolation from others.

  • Avoidance Behaviors: Going to great lengths to evade places, people, or conversations that trigger discomfort or anxiety.

  • Compulsive Rituals: Engaging in repetitive actions (like excessive cleaning, checking, or organizing) to temporarily alleviate internal anxiety.

  • Somatization: Physical symptoms driven by psychological distress, such as chronic tension headaches, muscle tightness, fatigue, or stomach upset.

  • Interpersonal Dependency: An extreme need for reassurance, approval, or validation from others, often leading to people-pleasing.

The Above List Are All Good Reasons To Seek Out A Therapist

Meet Robert

Hello! I’m Robert Brinton, LMHC, & life coach providing a safe space to work through the barriers keeping you from being uniquely, fully you.

I have 12+ years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Psychotherapist. 5 of those years, spent simultaneously working as a Mental Health Therapist and floor supervisor for a Youth Inpatient Facility.

I also earned a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle Washington

I also worked to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from California State University, Chico in Chico California

I hold a deeply devoted desire to encourage others who are wrestling with this life in unique yet not so different ways than the rest of humanity. The difference is our life afflictions and the lack of knowledge to know how to navigate them better that brings about relief and freedom.

My own journey includes growing up as a sensitive individual in environments that did not always welcome that part of me, navigating faith, identity, and long seasons of hiding my proclivities.

I became aware of service to another through the act of washing another’s feet, modeled by Jesus, in the New Testament. This performance served to bring healing to another’s hurting spirit. It reshaped my understanding of what a “giant life” really looks like.

Fast forward through a course correction and a pursuit of psychotherapy, and today I am supporting my fellow human navigators by touching souls who are in need of clarity regarding what is so very off in their lives. To live life free and unstuck in mind and emotions.
